Description
—Aux Chateaux du Sud Ouest is pleased to offer you this sublime Jaguar XK 120 Drop Head Coupé Special Equipment (Coupé Cabriolet).
This iconic automobile with the purest line of the XK series, is a rare Cabriolet version with SE specifications for "Special Equipment".
It is therefore equipped with wire wheels, a double exhaust with a bewitching sound, among other equipment.
This car was delivered new to Baron D'Huart at his Château de Teblos in Belgium in June 1953.
It was acquired in 1973 by the famous Jaguar restoration specialist Mr. Pieter Zwakman who restored this car entirely in his Zwakman-Jaguar workshops, restoration completed in 1986, date on which it was photographed to be published in the reference book for enthusiasts by XK: "The original Jaguar XK120,140,150" by Philip Porter.
The car has since been regularly used as a showcase for the work done by Pieter Zwakman in his workshops at events and rallies across Europe without ever failing Pieter's reputation for rock-solid reliability.
Among the improvements that Pieter brought to the car is the custom-made stainless steel exhaust, improved cooling and heating system, firmer suspensions, and so much more ...
Preserved in remarkable condition and presented in a sublime configuration, this car is ready to travel the roads.
